Over a lakh students from across the country supported by civil society organizations and forums like Wada Na Todo Abhiyan, CSEI ,PARA , PANI, BREADS, Nine is Mine, YUVA, WGHR , Nari-o-shishu Kalyan Kendra and IHRE have signed a memorandum, urging the government to include human rights in school curriculum.
The signature campaign by children to include human rights in school curriculum got tremendous support by media and social media discussions. United Nation India tweeted supporting the campaign which got lakhs of impressions, 1000+ likes and re tweeted 230 times and more including eminent personalities like Priyanka Chopra.
The Campaign also got wider public support through the hash tag #children4HRE, live streaming of voices of the key children speakers as well as social media support by other prestigious organisations. Furthermore, it was covered by numerous media houses as well.
